3ds Max Design

Autodesk® 3ds Max Design provides a comprehensive, integrated 3D modeling, animation and rendering solution for architects, civil engineers and visualization specialists to help tell the story behind their designs.

  • Rapid iteration of designs- With interoperability with the AutoCAD®, Revit® and Autodesk® Inventor® software product families, 3ds Max Design enables users to experience non-destructive workflows when upstream changes occur. The software also supports more than 30 2D and 3D data formats.
  • Accurate daylight anaylsis- 3ds Max Design is one of the tools validated by the CNRC for the simulation and analysis of indirect and daylight effects. In addition, direct lighting can be explored in real-time in the viewport.

  • High-Impact Visuals- Artists can create highly near realistic or stylized looks using the tightly integrated 3ds Max scan line and mentral ray® renderers, including mental ray network rendering to help finish rendering faster

    • New features in Autodesk® 3ds Max 2012 are:

  • Nitrous Accelerated Graphics Core- Leveraging GPUs and multi-core workstations, the Nitrous Accelerated Graphics core allows artists to iterate faster and handle larger sets of data with more interactivity. Smooth render-quality display environments support a wide range of effects.

  • Enhanced, Multi-Product Animation Workflows - A unified toolset and consistent workflows allows artists to seamlessly move between other Autodesk® products for maximum productivity.
